Getting started

To get started using AI Hub, you can create your own community account, join an existing commercial organization, or start your own free trial of a commercial organization.

Create a community account

Although you can try out some AI Hub functions without creating a community account, creating an account lets you try more apps and features and save the apps you build for later use.

To create your own community account, register with your email address or sign in with Google. When you register with an email address, you must set up multifactor authentication using either SMS or an authenticator app of your choice.

Registered accounts get 500 free consumption units to try out AI Hub’s capabilities. Familiarize yourself with consumption unit usage rates before getting started. When you run out of units, you can add more units to your account at any time from your billing settings.

Join a commercial organization

Joining a commercial organization gives you access to your organization’s commercial subscription. As an organization member you get:

• A personal workspace within your organization.

• Access to full AI Hub functionality, including features available exclusively with a commercial subscription such as shared workspaces, Build project collaboration, and app sharing within your organization.

• Organization-managed billing, with consumption units shared between all members of your organization. While consumption units are shared across the organization, your organization admin can see usage details for each member.

Joining an organization starts with receiving an invitation email. Invitations are sent by your organization admin, but arrive from the email address no-reply@instabase.com. When you accept the invitation, complete the sign-up process using the email address to which your invitation was sent. If your work email is a Google account, you can sign in with Google. When you register with an email address rather than signing in with Google, you must set up multifactor authentication using either SMS or an authenticator app of your choice.

Start a free trial of AI Hub Commercial

Any user with a community account who is not already a member of a commercial organization can initiate a one-time free trial of an AI Hub Commercial subscription. The person who starts the trial becomes the organization admin and is responsible for managing the organization and the trial.

Free commercial trials include all features available with a paid subscription. Your free trial lasts 14 days and includes $75 (USD) worth of usage. Throughout the trial, you can monitor your usage from the Usage settings page. At the end of your trial, or when the $75 worth of consumption units has been used, you can connect with the AI Hub sales team to continue using commercial features.

During the trial, the content in your existing community account is kept separate from the content in your commercial account. This means that:

• When the trial starts, no content is or can be migrated from your community account to your commercial account.

• Any content created in your commercial organization, whether in your personal workspace or a shared workspace, isn’t migrated to your community account when your trial ends. However, if you choose to continue your AI Hub Commercial subscription, all content created in the organization during the trial is preserved.

• When your trial ends, you can continue to view existing data, such as conversation history or app run results in your organization. However, you can’t perform any tasks that require consumption units. Units remaining in your community account after your trial ends can’t be applied to your commercial organization.
